Calling and voicemail support
Making Emergency Calls
BetterRoaming supports emergency calls with an Apple Watch, including Wi-Fi calls.
Apple Watches can also make and manage emergency calls without an eSIM if they are paired to an iPhone that has a signal. For more information on the Apple Watch SOS feature, please visit the Apple support page.
Call Waiting and Call Forwarding
These services are not supported in a BetterRoaming Apple Watch plan.
Voicemail services
Better Roaming does not support voicemail for the Apple Watch (Family Setup or otherwise).
Why doesn't voicemail work with BetterRoaming?
BetterRoaming Apple Watch plans are designed for:
Calls
SMS
Data
BetterRoaming does not support carrier voicemail features. As a cloud-based/global MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), BetterRoaming doesn't provide traditional voicemail infrastructure.
What can be done instead?
Since voicemail isn't available, here are some practical workarounds:
Use missed call notifications
The watch will display any missed calls - the wearer can then tap this notification to call back.
Use messaging instead of voicemail
Ask contacts to send SMS, iMessage, or voice messages (via Messages) instead of voicemail.
Making and Receiving Calls Over Wi-Fi
Apple Watches allow you to make and receive calls and texts via Wi-Fi. For more information and setup, please see the Apple Support page.
