Switching between SIM profiles
You can use one eSIM or SIM card at a time to access mobile data. Switching between your different eSIMs/SIMs is a straightforward process.
1. Go to Settings
2. Select Cellular/Mobile Data
3. Select the SIM/eSIM that you want to use to access mobile data (BetterRoaming will normally appear as ‘Secondary’ if you have not given it a custom label)
Allowing data switching
Your phone can also automatically select which SIM to use data from depending on coverage and availability. To enable this feature, open Settings and select Allow Mobile Data Switching. Please note: if you are roaming and only want to use your Betterroaming eSIM, please make sure that Allow Mobile Data Switching is turned OFF, or your phone will automatically use data from both phone plans, depending on the strength of the network connection. This option is best for people who want to stay connected no matter what. In this mode, there is no way to know which plan is being used at any one time.
If you turn off Allow Mobile Data Switching and you receive and answer a Voice call on your primary SIM whilst using data from your eSIM, then mobile data won't work whilst you are on your call. *
* The data line will switch automatically for the duration of your call. Mobile data switching will not work if you are currently roaming and your eSIM is not set up to allow Data Roaming. Check with your provider for availability and to find out if additional fees apply.
